Queen Victoria Park comes alive in spring with over 500,000 blooming daffodils, magnificent magnolia trees, tulips, carpet bedding displays, and expansive grass areas that are perfect for picnicking. Fireworks and Illumination
The Falls Fireworks Series is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a newly expanded fireworks schedule that includes 111 shows. The fireworks series kicks off on May 18th with shows happening:
- May 18-June 17- Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holiday Mondays
- June 18-September 3- Daily
- September 7-October 8- Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holiday Mondays
The fireworks are launched from deep in the Niagara Gorge into the skies over the Canadian Horseshoe and American Falls, and are best enjoyed from the brink of the Falls at Table Rock Welcome Centre, in Queen Victoria Park, or from a Fallsview guestroom at the Sheraton Fallsview or Crowne Plaza Fallsview hotels.
Shaw Festival Theatre
The Shaw Festival Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake offers world-class theatre in the heart of Niagara’s wine country. The Shaw’s 2018 season is on now and includes a number of fantastic plays like Mythos: A Trilogy- Gods. Heroes. Men., Grand Hotel, The Hound of Baskervilles, Of Marriage & Men, The Magician’s Nephew, and more.
The Magician’s Nephew is a play that both children and adults will love as it brings to life a part of C.S. Lewis’ beloved The Chronicles of Narnia series in a beautiful and whimsical performance. It will be playing at the Shaw from April 4th to October 13th and tickets can be purchased online or at the theatre.
