Niagara Falls will once again be transformed into a Winter Wonderland of twinkling lights and displays when the 2022/23 festival brightens the night from November 12, 2022-February 20, 2023.
More than 3 million lights and more than 75 displays will shine along an 8km stretch of the Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Islands and across the tourist districts. Visitors can drive or walk through the popular festival route to experience the outdoor, self-guided event which is Canada’s largest and longest-running FREE outdoor light festival. If your visit to the Waterpark includes a stay at a Falls Avenue Resort Hotel then you will find many of the vibrant displays a short walk from your hotel.
To celebrate this year’s milestone, there are a number of new experiences for visitors. They include free indoor family entertainment, special illumination of the Falls every night, free photos with Santa in December, and new displays and themed illumination areas including the Royal Promenade, Frosted Falls, Enchanted Forest and Great Canadian North.

Displays will take place on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm during the Festival dates and on consecutive nights during the Holidays from December 23-January 7 (excluding December 25). Two displays will mark New Year’s Eve, one at 8:00pm and another at midnight.
FREE Family Entertainment
Adding to the excitement are 40 nights of FREE family entertainment. Make Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview a stop in your itinerary to take in a fun and interactive show.
